Improvement
v2.5.0
March UX Upgrade — faster planning, clearer checkout
Travel planning got noticeably smoother
Over the last days, we rolled out a broad UX upgrade across the app. The goal was simple: fewer unclear moments, faster decisions, and better confidence at every step.
What improved
- Trip setup is easier to follow with clearer next-step labels, better loading states, and quick edit shortcuts in summary.
- Date selection is safer: return date validation prevents inconsistent ranges and optional dates are easier to clear.
- Logistics and departure flows are clearer with stronger hints, better field states, and faster access to key actions.
- Accommodation planning is more practical: missing details are easier to spot, and stay groups are easier to review and edit.
- Event cards are cleaner with clearer hierarchy and better progressive disclosure for secondary actions and badges.
- Move/swap event dialogs are easier to trust with clearer selected/in-plan states and better keyboard behavior.
- Weather detail view is more useful with richer context (like feels-like and sunshine averages) and better no-data handling.
- Checkout is more transparent: promo code UX is clearer, consent messaging is more explicit, and timeout/retry behavior is clearer.
- Auth and sign-in journeys are smoother with stronger password guidance and better deep-link behavior to sign-up.
- Profile and notes are more readable with cleaner tab cues, better organization of controls, and simpler action patterns.
- Settle and footer flows give clearer outcomes with better terminal-state actions and stronger feedback after form submission.
Quality, accessibility, and trust upgrades
- Better keyboard navigation across dialogs, menus, and choice controls.
- Stronger accessibility semantics (ARIA patterns, heading structure, and improved interactive labeling).
- More consistent mobile tap targets for critical controls.
- Cleaner state communication for pending, timeout, empty, and retry scenarios.
This update focuses on reducing friction in everyday usage, especially during setup, checkout, and in-trip adjustments.
